High School Sailing

The Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia and its members are excited to welcome this new demographic of sailors to their Delaware River Waterfront.

Corinthian has provided several fleets of 420s and FJs to be shared by all of the participating schools. Schools have their own practice days during the week and hold interscholastic sailing competitions on Sundays in the fall and spring.

The athletes represent all high school age levels and genders – in fact, sailing teams are considered to be the only interscholastic sport where males and females compete in a co-ed field competition.

“High school racing fits well with the [Corinthian Yacht] Club’s commitment to making sailboat racing available to Junior Sailors in the Philadelphia region.” - Art Bell, Head MLSSA
