Starting on Thursday, 12 yachts decended on Haven Harbor South in Rock Hall for a cocktail party.
On Friday the first race was from Rock Hall, down the Chester River, and then up to a finish off the Corisica River. The wind started out light, but nice at 7 to 8 kts, but with about 4 miles to the finiish the wind dwindled to 3 to 4 kts forcing a very slow final two hours sailing to the finish against the tide. Fleet A finished with just two minutes to spare before the time limit expired. Class B was shortened to help them finish before the time limit.
After the finish, the fleet established an anchorage in the Corisica River. We had one big raft-up with 12 yachts on Joe and Louise Huber's anchor. A great time was had socializing on the yachts and celebrating Kate Hoekstra's birthday!
On Saturday the wind was back and we had a very sporty race from the mouth of the Corisica back to Rock Hall.
Following the races, we had a great awards dinner. Congratulations to Jonathan Wright for winning both races in Class A and Richard Rosenfeld and Will Herbert for each winning a race in Class B.
