Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia is home to one of the most unique trap shooting ranges in the Delaware Valley! Being right on the shore of the river, we offer what no other local range can offer; the Delaware River as a backdrop, and the beauty of the sun shining down upon our ranges, setting the scene for some of the best shooters involved with the sport of trap shooting in our area. The CYCoP Trap Program is rich in tradition evident by the history of the program which has been an active staple of the club for many years. Every shoot at CYCoP is accompanied by light fare, along with hot coffee, tea and other beverage offerings to make your morning at the CYCoP range as comfortable as possible. After the shoot, athletes enjoy a scrumptious buffet in the beautiful clubhouse overlooking the river. Ranging from build your own omelet stations to grilled Flank Steak carving stations, we offer great food, a great atmosphere, and most of all great company. The CYCoP Trap program boasts some of the area’s top shooters and personalities that make the atmosphere inviting and welcoming to shooters of all experience levels and guests alike. The CYCoP Trap season starts off with a BANG in October and continues through mid-April. During the season, athletes enjoy our traditional shoots at the club while also traveling to other local clubs to take part in the competition. Traveling to roughly 8 other local ranges, CYCoP also hosts these clubs on our range as well. Annual events begin with the Hospitality Bowl which involves the other local clubs, rotating the location every year between them. Next, is the Turkey Day shoot where the top shooters for the day win Turkeys and a Cornish Game Hen as prizes. Other CYCoP Trap events include the popular New Year’s Day Shoot, the Peter Gibbons-Neff Handicap Shoot, St. Valentine’s Day Shoot, St. Patricks Day Shoot, Club Championship Shoot, the popular Sock Burning Social, all culminating with our Annual CYCoP Trap Awards dinner to bring the season to a close. Awards include the coveted “holy quail” for hitting the elusive 25 straight along with awards for high gun, high handicap, and of course high lady. Our diverse Trap program is perfect for shooters of every level and we are always welcoming new shooters. Women, juniors, new or experienced shooters are invited to contact us regarding the CYCoP Trap Program. Through the wind, rain, sun, and snow CYCoP Trap BARRELS through the seasons without missing a beat. We are able to offer these amenities and desirable atmosphere because of our members.
